Halloween Nail Art & Shooting Star Nail art

Yes, I know I haven't been blogging about Nail Art Designs for while since I was pre-occupied by baking.  But the long awaited blog post is here. First off, I found a website with many cute nail art designs and I decided to try one of those designs for myself thus the first nail art design. And since Halloween is just around the corner about 9 days more. I wanted a nail design for the event thus I combined 5 different designs into one nail art design. I used the designs from IHaveACupcake from youtube. Though one of the design was inspired by my spider stud earrings.

Shooting Star Nail Art

Items  I used:
Folk Art - Kelly Green
Folk Art - Titanium White
Folk Art - Purple
Folk Art - Pure Orange
Folk Art - Yellow Light
Folk Art - Ocean Cruise
Folk Art - Pink
Small Fine Paint Brush
Posh - Nail Strengthening Base Coat
Posh - Super - Fast Drying Top Coat
OPI - Black Onyx
Design : Rainbow Shooting Star (scroll down till you see the name)
 Start with the base coat.
2 Coats of OPI Black Onyx
Lastly, using the Acrylic Paints. While mixing a bit of white to each colour making it abit lighter.  Paint  Strokes of each colour making a rainbow or however you like. After that make stars at the end of the strokes. You can use various methods; stamp them, paint them or even use those glitter stars to stick them on. After that just paint a coat of topcoat and the design is finished. Though I did not really like the end results.

Finally : Follow the Tutorial from the links Given and make this Halloween Nail Art Design. With the Exception for the Thumb. Which is very Simple.

  1. Make a Spider Web. There are many tutorials out there that teaches you how to make the web. Spider Web <-- click the link, if you don't already know how to make one.
  2. Paint one small circle and one big circle below it to make the body of the spider then add in the 8 legs.
  3. Use the Black Glitter Polish or any dark glitter polish you have and paint over the spider body and its legs.
  4. Outline the body with white polish and add in the 2 white eyes and you are done.
and I added the RIP for the Graveyard design.
Don't Forget to put top coat.
 Right hand.
Lastly, Put your fingers under the light to charge and off the light to see the effect.

NY Cheesecake (2nd Attempt) & Cheesecake Brownie

Hey guys... so yesterday, some of my friends came over to help me bake cheesecake =) we baked the New York Cheesecake and Cheesecake Brownie. and yes I already posted about the cheesecake brownie in my previous post but they lurve it so they asked me to bake it again. But dis time I let them do the baking..I just had to prepare the ingredients for them. =) well the end results is not bad, just that the cheese topping tasted more vanilla then cream cheese =). Anyway, here is the pictures. Do enjoy them. *we only took the cheese topping part for the cheesecake brownie*.

Cheesecake Brownie
If you guys want the recipe. Just check out my second or third post. Can't seem to remember which post it was.

cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract and cream mixed together. we had to use the manual mixer cos the electric mixer wouldn't make our topping smooth and creamy.

pour the topping over the cooled brownie.

Bake in the oven for another 15 minutes and take it out to cool completely before putting it in the fridge for at least 3 hours or overnight.

NEW YORK CHEESECAKE
Ingredient:

Base:
250g digestive biscuits (you can add more if you like)
125g of melted unsalted butter. (it has to be melted)

Filling:
750g cream cheese
2 teaspoon orange rind (finely grated)
1 teaspoon lemon rind (finely grated)
1 cup caster sugar
3 eggs
3/4 cup sour cream
1/4 cup lemon juice

Digestive biscuits for the New York Cheesecake base.  I swear blenders, new or old will cook things. My cookies instead of fine crumbs became like dough. but nevertheless it made good base.

Next add the butter to the crumbs. So that the crumbs do not fall apart when it bakes.
Actually the butter seemed too much for the amount of cookies mentioned thus I added a few more.

End product of the base is finished. Pour the base into the cake tin and make a even layer at the bottom and the sides. and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

It time to make the filling for the cheese cake. 750g of cream cheese. Its about 3 packet of cream cheese.

2 teaspoons of orange rind but i used orange zest and 1 teaspoon of lemon rind but i used lemon zest. I think they are the same things.

Cream the cheese.
Add sugar and mix till smooth and creamy

Add the Orange and lemon zest and mix completely

Add the 3 eggs, one by one. then add the 3/4 cup of sour cream and 1/4 cup of lemon juice. and mix till completely smooth and creamy.

Pour the filling into the base.

Bake the cheese cake for 20 minutes and then let it cool with the oven door ajar. After that put it in the fridge to chill for 3 hours or overnight.

Under mum's request. Had to make her the pre-made creme caramel that she bought at the supermarket. (below) end results is not bad though they need to have proper instructions.

and after it has been left overnight. The end results of our Cheesecake Brownie and New York Cheesecake. And yes i know my base is so uneven. but at least it stayed together dis time around. Besides I will try again one day. like the saying goes. Third time's the charm (hopefully it works next time).

And yes, I know i have been so obsessed with baking these few days. I will promise you guys more nail designs soon. *look out for my halloween nail art post soon*
