Home Made Coloured Sugar "Sprinkles" for Cupcakes and Cookies

Hey Guys, yes I know there isn't much posts this  month. As it is after all my exam month. But there would be more soon. =) Today I have for you, home-made coloured sugar for cupcakes and cookies which ever you choose to use it for. Here in my country, there isn't much variety of coloured sugar for decoration. So I did some researching on google. And apparently you can make it on your own. *shocked face* And it saves you a lot of money as well. I used 2 types of sugar, 1) Castered Sugar and 2) Coarse white sugar, you can see the sugar crystals.

Here are the pictures so enjoy. I finally found jars to put my sugars in.
1) Coarse White Sugar -> 1 Packet is all you need. 1kg worth of sugar can make 10 different colours  if each is only 100g.
Red, Orange (I know a little dark), Yellow
 Green, Blue and Purple
light blue, Brown, teal (too light) and black/gray
 2) Castered Sugar again 1 packet is all you need. 1kg worth can make 8 different coloured sugar. 100g each
 Red, orange and golden yellow
 Green, Blue and purple
 Pink and teal.
My attempt at making rainbow sugar =0 But didn't work out very well. Though the starting layers were pretty =)
Like Layered bottle sand and not sugar
